Renowned Culinary Maestro Arrives in Coral Gables

In a city that thrives on flair and flavor, Coral Gables is about to be graced by the culinary artistry of none other than Chef Thomas Keller. This isn’t just the inception of another eatery; it’s the weaving of a community tapestry.

The La Palma Building, a historical landmark built by Architect George Fink in 1924 on Galiano Street in Coral Gables, is the new home for Chef Thomas Keller’s Bouchon bistro

Envision the bistro not merely as a dining haven but a communal heart where tales unfold, bonds strengthen, and memories crystallize. From celebratory brunches, enigmatic evening soirees, to intimate first dates – it’s all to be celebrated here.

Keller, whose illustrious journey began humbly in Palm Beach, now showcases his genius at prestigious Michelin-starred venues, including the iconic French Laundry and Per Se. Bouchon, his latest Coral Gables venture, nestles within the historic La Palma edifice, set to debut on September 9th.

Though Bouchon’s legacy began near The French Laundry in ’98, its branches now grace destinations from Vegas to the Middle East. Keller’s choice of Coral Gables isn’t mere chance. Seduced by La Palma’s captivating history, it’s a match made in culinary heaven.

While the bistro will echo the authentic French charm characteristic of Bouchon outposts, anticipate seasonally-inspired French delicacies. From the legendary steak frites and escargot de Bourgogne to the signature raw bar, the menu promises a symphony of flavors.

Bouchon’s interiors, crafted by the visionary Adam D. Tihany, will cater to 160 patrons, with an intimate courtyard seating 30. It’s not just about Keller; Chef de Cuisine Thomas Castellon will helm the kitchen, bringing his prowess to the fore.

As Miami’s gastronomic renaissance unfolds, Keller isn’t daunted by competition. He sees the city’s burgeoning dining scene as an enriching tapestry, where each establishment uplifts the others. For him, a restaurant is more than a business; it’s a cornerstone, shaping the very essence of a community.

“Restaurants are the heartbeats of communities,” Keller muses, “and that’s what makes Coral Gables shimmer with anticipation.”
